In our day to day life we come across some unavoidable situation which we can’t tolerate but even can’t ignore also. For example if you are working in a big corporate sector and carrying major responsibility you are bound to come under some stress. Or even as a manager you some times have to face such a situation where you may face some problem and don’t know how to solve it, also you have a dead line given by your boss and you come to know it will take some time. So then you come under stress. The working woman, those have to manage office and at the same time maintaining family must come under some pressure or stress. Even when exam pressure is high then students also face same stress factor. For the working person to young school or college students, from house wife to someone representing any valuable position in corporate world “Stress” is the very well known fact to face on.

Now what is stress? Stress is a state of mental or emotional strain which is the result of some demanding circumstance or can say it is the automatic response from human body to any physical or mental demand placed on it. Stress can be considered as psychical or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental unrest which can be caused some disease. Though stress is usually thought of as a negative experience, but it can be positive also. Now taking consideration slightly in depth we can’t say that every stress is not bad or harmful rather a mild tension or stress can be beneficial also. Like feeling mildly stressed when working on a project or assignment often force us to do a good job, same as for the students also. Even it is also proved that exercising can create temporary stress on some body functions, but its health benefits are unquestionable. When stress is managed poorly, then that it’s caused negative effects.

Effect of Stress

Though every stress is not consider as harmful still stress caused huge negative effects on human body, which sometime caused too much Physical and Emotional disruption on human body. Negative effect of stress can be segregated in two ways

  1. Physical
  2. Emotional

  2. Anxiety

Stress is a natural reaction of human body. The hormone known as Cortisol helps body to manage stress. Some of the physical symptoms of stress is Headache, Gastrointestinal disturbance, Sleeping disorder, Muscle tension, Muscle ache, Muscle pain, Fatigue, etc. Which can lead human body to chronic  emotional stress by creating depression, anxiety  and ultimately can lead a person to some unhealthy habits like to addicted with alcohol, drugs etc.

Manage your stress:

It is not possible to eliminate stress from once life but it can be controlled or rather to manage by taking some Stress Relief Strategies.

Some Useful Tips to overcome stress:

Be organised: If your office, desk, kitchen, car are well organized then you won’t be faced with the stress of misplaced objects. Make it a habit to periodically clean out and sort through the messes of paperwork that accumulate over time.

Priorities your work: Sometime we get confused about the priority of our work. Like in the second half in your office you have an important meeting and immediate post the office hours you have an dr. appointment. Now if your meeting continues for extended hour then you start to worrying about the dr. appointment. And your stress level goes up. Know the priority of the work if you feel your meeting is most important the try to take doctor’s appointment in late evening, if not possible then schedule your meeting in first half to the office. Remember as good as you can priorities your work your stress level will be under control.

Maintain a daily routine: If you are always occupies with different work or having a busy schedule. Then try to maintain a daily routine. Prepare a daily routine diary. Just after waking up take a look on the dairy and try to keep the main part of work which you need to do for the whole day. Remember as much as you will be organised in your work you will be able to control over stress.

Spend some time with loved one: Spend time with those you love, consisting of friends, family, loved ones, or even pets. It is a very useful part of life to handle stress because these people can observe your lifestyle and offer suggestions and help when you need it.

Listening Music: Listening music can be good stress reliever in ones’ day to day life. Some light ear soothing music can heal and refreshes mind. So take few minutes of your day and drive yourself in this ear soothing journey to make mind feel refresh.

Practicing Yoga: Yoga, which means “joining” or “union” in Sanskrit, has been called the “search for the soul” and the “union between the individual and the divine.” The practice of yoga is a 5000 years old thought. It is an ancient form of Indian exercise which is based on body and breathing that is connected with mind. The main benefit of yoga is it helps to be flexible and helps relaxing from stress.

Do Meditation: The word meditation, is derived from two Latin words : meditari(to think, to dwell upon, to exercise the mind) and mederi (to heal). It’s Sanskrit derivation ‘medha’ means wisdom. Meditation is not a technique but a way of life.

It describes a state of consciousness, making mind free from scattered thoughts and various patterns. Doing meditation realizes that all the activity of the mind is reduced to one. Where mind gets into at one point. Which creates an after effects as calmness of mind which helps to reduced stress level.

Ultimately the Key word is “Balance”. Yes! try to balance life routine in accordance with the priority to keep the stress under control.“Worries do not help, think wisely”.
