Sometimes we get irritate and ask us some question like why I was so rude to my colleagues? Or oh no I shouldn’t tell these words to my boss. Which make a tough time to control your negative thoughts, and because of these you tend to get angry and that ends up with a mess. These types of negative thoughts always over power us and we can’t control our emotions. Here we need to control our negative thoughts. And if you are a working professional it is not good to be in negative. So it’s time to control your negative thoughts and let’s have a look on some tips that will help you to stop negative thinking.
Acceptance of the situation: We need to accept that whatever we are today it is a result of our own actions and the choices what we made. As every action have their own origin so that we can’t control over the situation. So we can’t change the things for us only. So don’t wrestling with life and learn to go with the flow. Negative thoughts usually come from insecurities and jealousy. For example, if someone is working heard for loosing weight for a long but unable to become slim, then they started feeling jealous with them who are slim, beautiful. That create a negative thought and that makes the person’s anxiety level too high. Instead of doing so what you need to do is to think of your positive part and flourish them, work on them to make it much better and try to gather appreciation. Remember every one in this world is definitely gifted by some quality by God. Try to highlight your quality instead of carrying negative thoughts about others. Think others may have a good slim body but you may have a healthy skin, or flourishing hair, sweet face etc. So take things positively and accept the real situation. 
Know what exactly annoying you: Sometime you have to face some situation or sometimes something people do which really annoy you like for example at your office may you have some colleagues who does not do what they promise, who always come late and make you feel angry for this. You can’t bear this behaviour, you feel negative about this person, and you get angry very fast to them. What you can do is, if you are working with such kind of colleagues in a project; prepare your backup plan always. Remember if you have backup plans then instead of you feel or getting angry if you already have a ready plan with you then you will not have any negative felling and you will go ahead smoothly with your project. So remember it’s really important for you to know what exactly annoys or irritates you and make you have a negative thoughts and make sure you are mentally prepare to take care of them. And you will be a less negative person.
Aware of the situation well: Some time we get angry or we feel negative by just knowing one side of the story. For example if you are a manager and somebody who is working under you comes late at office. You may get irritate or angry with the person and have a negative impression of the person. But until you know actually what makes them come late you know the one side of the situation. And you will not have a right impression to the person. It is important for you to know the exactly what could be the reason. So here you can do is to sit down with the person, find the reason why they are coming late and then you can better understand the situation and even can find the solution so it is important to know the fact instead of getting negative thought on even reacting on any situation just base of knowing one side of the story or even can say just on seeing. So it is important to know the reason behind the things and to know the situation well.
Pen them down as a journal: If you have plenty of negative thoughts and you can’t control yourself. Then it is better to pen them down on your personal diary as you used to do in school. Yes it may be sound silly but believe me it’s an old school process and really helpful. Actually if you pen down few points that makes you think negative and simultaneous why and how then you will actually can do self analysis. And you can easily understand what annoys or upset you. So it is very helpful when you write down your thoughts, or what you are thinking so you can do self analysis. For example suppose one day you got angry with someone and told some bad words to someone. If you write down the reason behind your anger to utter wrong words to him. Then later, when you will do self analysis if you find that you did wrong thing to the person so you can do something for him. Like can have a tea or coffee with the person or have a nice chat with him to once again mend with them. So writing down your negative thoughts is always helpful to you.
Speak up: The next thing is that Speak up. Yes this is the best way to keep yourself free from negative thoughts. For example, suppose in your work place or even at home somebody are there who always cracks silly jokes to you or teases you which you actually annoys you heart of heart but you could not be able to tell them. And create a negative impression for them. But how will they know. Well actually you need to sit with them and directly tell them that you don’t like their behaviour and you actually hate them. So this is not right to keep you negative emotion under you and need to speak up whatever feelings directly tell to them. Tell the person very nice way that what exactly annoys you most. And that is the best solution to take care of your all negative thoughts.
Take some time to react: The next thing is that to take some time to react. Actually some time you face some situation or some negative thoughts which you don’t want to listen or even you are not at all agree with. On that moment if you react you may speak some unnecessary words which could create problem. For example at your work place if your manager or senior was giving you some feedback which you are not completely agree, you get angry to him but you can’t oppose or can’t be rude to him on that moment, lots of negative thoughts will come into your mind, you will get angry but can’t tell him anything as because he is your senior. So make this situation better for you to just hold on and don’t react on that moment. Go out for a tiny 5 minutes coffee break, or watch a funny video, make yourself clam, and then can come back and tell your exact feelings about that matter to your senior. Remember when in the hit of the moment you say anything it could be misunderstood by others but if you speak the words in a calm situation easily you can explain the reason and the opposite person will also have the mental state to listen to you properly. So from now onwards put an effort and take some time to react.
Your Attitude : Morning shows the day. Mental attitude is something which can make or break your day. Beginning of your day is the indicator of how the rest of your day will go. So wake up in morning in a positive attitude. Because if you wake up with a self pity, anger, unhappiness, your full day will roam around with the same melancholy. It is very important to remember that the first 5-10 minutes of every morning are crucial in establishing that positive frame of mind. So when you wake up in the morning keep a positive mind note. Every day starts with energy, with a proper day planning. So that your day won’t carry the mess and won’t bear a negative thoughts. If you have a positive attitude you can easily control over the negative thoughts.
Get positivity in life: Some time be as child at your life. Start to follow a hobby as you did it in childhood, do something you loved to do as a child. Pursue something that you were passionate about because this thing will give you a purpose to keep you out of negative thoughts. Also, surround yourself with positive people. Read books or article that are inspiring and make you feel yourself positive. Don’t take few negative things from others and increase you negative thoughts inside you. Remember people generally say these because of jealousy and want to pull you down in their level. So avoid these silly things in life and get positivity in life.
Meditate: Meditation helps purify the mind and promotes deep relaxation, peace, good health, and happiness. Meditation undoubtedly by itself has the power to establish a positive frame of mind in the most effortless manner. So make yourself prepare to meditate and make negative thoughts out of your mind.
Be patient: In order to manage your negative thoughts you must need to have patient. Actually whatever things you have suggested to do will never come automatically to you, you need to do lots of practice on it and that require patient. If you wish to pen down the things you give yourself the time, if you wants to speak up choose the right time and place and give yourself time to prepare on it and then go ahead. Remember as you shows up your patients to resolves the issues, it will solve as easily. Negativity is not something you should carry in the long run even not something you should ran away. So remove your negative thinking from your mind and come out as a positive person.
Remember negative emotions are so powerful that we need a constant effort to control over them and if we practice constantly then we can change ourselves.
